About Us
Columbia Breaks Fire Center is located on 17.5 acres above the Columbia River at the north end of the town of Entiat in North Central Washington. We are in the heart of the transition zone between forest and the breathtaking shrub steppe ecosystems, on the western edge of the prehistoric Missoula Flood outflow.
Our landmarks are authentic decommissioned Forest Service fire lookouts which have been moved to this location and lovingly restored, as well as a Wildland Firefighter Memorial Trail commemorating all the firefighters known to have lost their lives fighting wildland fire in North Central Washington.
We are an all-volunteer 501c3 organization with many years of dreaming and hard work on the part of many people and partners, and we are now uniquely poised to greatly expand our efforts and offerings over the next few years. This requires a great deal of work and dedication on the part of our Board of Directors, partners and friends. We are always looking for new board members, advisors and volunteers, and if you have a passion for our mission, please click here VOLUNTEER SKILLS INVENTORY .
